Karting for Cancer July 13, 2009 -- Stafford Motor Speedway On Monday July 13, 2009, Wild Thing Karts of East Longmeadow, MA will be hosting “Karting for Cancer” at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT. This event is being sponsored by Victory MotorSports Marketing Services LLC of East Granby, CT along with Express Home Buyers LLC of Agawam, MA. Our Inspiration for putting on this event came as a result of our association with the Relay for Life’s Angel’s Above team who, after their mother’s diagnosis of cancer in 2005, have been RACING to raise money to help find a cure. As many of you know, cancer has impacted many families in our area and can be very disruptive to those that currently live with or have survived the disease. The “Karting for Cancer” event will provide a night out for those who have felt the effect of cancer. The night will be filled with racing excitement from the racing stars of tomorrow who race at Stafford Motor Speedway in the Monday night karting division. Along with the racing, event attendees will be provided with a tour of the speedway which will include a meet and greet with the kart drivers and teams. To add to this special night, anyone who is currently impacted with this disease or who has won the battle with cancer will be provided admission to the event at no charge. So please come out for a fun time and enjoy the night courtesy of your event hosts and sponsors. Admission gates and grandstands will open at 5:00 pm. The rain date for the event will be the following night Tuesday July 14.
